Attention "Stumbling Upon Moksha" Listeners... including everyone who has even thought about tuning in, but for technical, logistic or psycho-emotive reasons have been unable to:
CKMS-FM --also known as "Radio Waterloo"-- is holding their annual Pledge Drive from Wed. Oct. 24 to Tue. Oct. 30!
All of us volunteer programmers are encouraged to earn a minimum of $100 each for the station, which can come from just about anyone, including:
• People who actually tune in my show Tuesdays from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.. (Ya... all five of you!)
• People who at least support the spirit of community radio, and want to see it thrive. (There must be TONS of you out there!)
• Friends or family members who are sympathetic to my mid-life excursion into community radio and want to say something like: "you go girl..." (?)
Here's how YOU can show your support:
a) by calling CKMS during my show on Tuesday October 30 with your pledge of support. 519-884-2567. (There are incentives and I will mention your name!)
b) by emailing me before the show so you can sleep in, ignore the show, but still feel good about yourself. (I will still pretend you are listening and mention your name on the air.)
Here's how you can actually pay:
The best way is to donate online, by visiting this link: http://www.ckmsfm.ca/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=192&Itemid=137
If you do donate online, PLEASE let me know so I can keep track of things and mention your name. And PLEASE mention my program (Stumbling Upon Moksha) in the "message section" so I get credited with the funds. Since mine is a new show (not to mention an early morning show) it's a bit of a challenge making quota. But I have faith. Even if you can slip five bucks sometime, I and everyone at CKMS would appreciate it. :))
Oh! And since CKMS is a registered charity, you can get tax receipt :))
Also, in lieu of a receipt you can qualify for any number of cool incentives!. Just ask and I shall let you know what's available. :))
Finally, don't forget to check out a complete listing of special Pledge Drive Events during the campaign by visiting this link:

On behalf of CKMS, I thank you in advance for supporting Campus and Community radio here in Kitchener-Waterloo!

"Be Real; choose true, and give everything you've got".
(Actually, that's my show's slogan., not a literal imperative.)
